Well as luck sometimes happens I was walking along side the river seven with my wife, and camera of course, I spotted a bent rod with a fellow angler hanging on,
Sometime later a splash and a fish was in the net, it was a 3 lb barble, what a catch on casters and stick float. For you anglers reading this remember that first real fish, you know the one after the 100 or so gudgeon from the canal, may have been a perch with spines and the colours wow, or could it have been a roach silvery and glistening in the sun. Remember those cold January mornings breaking the ice, fingers freezing, wondering, what am I doing here. Oh well, that is enough from me. I was very pleased to meet Warren and felt privileged witnessing the catch.
Here is the fish and the angler of course.
Warren added,
Had a good day ,I had 10 barble up to 6 pound and a net full of dace , one to remember , fished to dusk and there is no place like the River Severn at dusk in the Summer ,simply beautiful ,
